What is a Life Group?
Life Groups are a place where you can plug into a group of people who value community. Life Groups are mid-week services led by everyday people just like you and me, who have been chosen and equipped to encourage healthy relationships, and help others grow in their faith as passionate Christ followers.
Why Life Groups?
Overflow Church is a small group based church believing in the priesthood of all believers. Our mission is to train, equip, and release every church member to do the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:11-12). We believe the most effective way to do this is to meet weekly "in the temple and house to house" (Acts 2:46). We believe the body functions best when there are strong, loving relationships between the believers.
We encourage each person to visit one or two life groups to get a feel for atmosphere and friendships within that particular group.
Prior to attending a life group for the first time you can find out more about the specific life group by clicking the "Join A Life Group" page on the left. We encourage you to read description of the group and either call or email the leader with questions and/or directions to the life groups location.
Once you have chosen a life group to visit for the first time, simply notify the leader so they can look for you, and introduce you to everyone that night. We are confident you will enjoy your time and leave with a smile on your face. These are fun, enjoyable times with people like you!

- A small group church is people-centered versus program-centered. The focus of the church is to meet the intimate needs of people inside and outside the four walls of the local church.
- A small group church is a community-centered versus building-centered. The ministry of the church occurs in the homes and lives of church members and in the community.
- A small group church's members are released to build relationships with and ministry to non-Christians, rather than spend most of their time on activities and meetings at the church building.
- A small group church is patterned after the New Testament church. It's leadership style is the servant-leader and "every member a minister".
- A small group church emphasizes relational evangelism rather than confrontational evangelism.
- A small group church is a living body.
